After establishing and administering the Maine Trust for People with Disabilities as a pooled special needs trust that serves Maine families for 20 years, I and my Board decided that the best avenue for continued growth and stability was to become part of a larger national pooled SNT. We researched all pooled SNTs offered in the USA and concluded that Commonwealth Community Trust (CCT) was by far the best fit. CCT offers the best combination of professional administration of the trust and its assets as well as reasonable fees. Moreover, it was clear from early in my discussions with CCT's management that they genuinely care for the wellbeing of their beneficiaries. The two years that have passed since our Maine SNT joined CCT have confirmed that we chose the right partner.
